My 11 month old child has sprouted his very first tooth! And lucky for us he didn't show the tell tale signs like fussiness, fever, diarrhea etc. It wasn't until he was biting on a plastic bowl did we figure out that a tooth had come in. Mike's mom pointed out that she could hear a clicking sound.
Every day Jacob grows up just a little bit more and I am flooded with very mixed feelings. My little boy is not so little anymore. I want him to stay this size forever but am so happy that he is growing up so healthy and happy. Jacob has met every single one of his developmental milestones, has stayed healthy (who can say their 11 month old has never had a fever?) and is just so happy. He's starting to crawl and has said his first words (dada) and is beginning to feed himself and drink out of sippy cups and straws. He's now 27.5 inches long which means he's almost half my size and 17.9 lbs. He's in the 3 percentile of his actual age group in height and 1 percentile in weight. Of course he couldn't be Mike and my child if his head wasn't bigger I believe he's in the 25 percentile in head length.
